Having your child involved in our Martial Arts academy, will allow your child to make new friends in a positive environment, outside of the everyday kids that they meet at school. Our students are systematically guided to be positive role models for each other, while learning to carry themselves with the utmost respect for their peers and elders. Having constant goals, a positive outlet for their energy, and a different source of friends, will help keep your child on track and out of trouble!
Confidence
Gaining Confidence & Pride
Being involved in Martial Arts allows children to have constant goals to work towards. Accomplishing these goals allows the students to build confidence and earn a sense of pride in their achievements. The students work on different techniques that they are taught, and they are given the opportunity to apply them. The students quickly learn that hard work pays off, and that the more they apply themselves, the more they will gain from their everyday experience, in return gaining confidence in their capabilities. As the students move up in belt ranking, they are shown an even greater level of respect by their fellow classmates. The students earn their level in class ranking by working their way up the ladder of our custom belt system. Children get to leave every class with a sense of pride and accomplishment
Learning the Importance of Respect
Respect is the foundation of all Martial Arts. Every class starts and ends with the students showing respect to their instructors and fellow classmates. The students learn how to bow to their instructors and classmates as a sign of respect. Here at Ultimate MMA & Jiu Jitsu Training Center, we stress the importance of the students learning to treat others how they would like to be treated. As a student moves up in belt ranking, they are given more responsibility, and therefore, the newer students learn to follow their lead, while also showing a higher belt the ultimate respect.
Introduction to MMA
At Ultimate MMA & Jiu Jitsu Training Center, our kids program begins for children at the age of 4, and continues with systematic progressions, based on age and skill level. Our Kid’s program consists of a variety of the basics of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, Muay Thai, Boxing, and Wrestling, as well as, traditional Karate and Taekwondo techniques mixed in. One of the primary benefits of having your child enrolled in our Mixed Martial Arts program, is that they will lean to gain confidence in all aspects of everyday life. Our instructors help the students navigate through adversity, learn to work cohesively as a team with others, as well as, overcome the struggles of dealing with bullies, as this is an unfortunate but realistic part of life.
Jiu Jitsu vs. Traditional Martial Arts
Although any Martial Arts program is great for your child to be involved in, it is best to do your research to learn why Brazilian Jiu Jitsu is the most dominant and effective Martial Art. Although you may have not heard of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu as commonly as the traditional Martial Arts such as, Karate or Taekwondo, that is only because it wasn’t recognized in the United States for it’s significance until the early 1990s. The benefits of training Brazilian Jiu Jitsu are life-long, as the students learn how to defend themselves in real-life situations, with everyday hands-on learning. The difference between Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and traditional Martial Arts, is the live training at the end of each class. This training is fully supervised by our instructors, and it allows the children to display and gain confidence in the techniques that they are taught and acquire.

There is nothing better than martial arts for kids who are starting to exhibit bullying behavior. Often times children bully other children because they lack self confidence and discipline. Bullies soon see the error of their ways as they learn that the way to be respected is to respect others first.
