    Respect

    Positive Environment & Making Friends

    August 23, 2019 by

Having your child involved in our Martial Arts academy, will allow your child to make new friends in a positive environment, outside of the everyday kids that they meet at school. Our students are systematically guided to be positive role models for each other, while learning to carry themselves with the utmost respect for their peers and elders. Having constant goals, a positive outlet for their energy, and a different source of friends, will help keep your child on track and out of trouble!

    Gaining Confidence & Pride

    August 23, 2019 by

Being involved in Martial Arts allows children to have constant goals to work towards. Accomplishing these goals allows the students to build confidence and earn a sense of pride in their achievements. The students work on different techniques that they are taught, and they are given the opportunity to apply them. The students quickly learn that hard work pays off, and that the more they apply themselves, the more they will gain from their everyday experience, in return gaining confidence in their capabilities. As the students move up in belt ranking, they are shown an even greater level of respect by their fellow classmates. The students earn their level in class ranking by working their way up the ladder of our custom belt system. Children get to leave every class with a sense of pride and accomplishment

    Learning the Importance of Respect

    August 23, 2019 by

Respect is the foundation of all Martial Arts. Every class starts and ends with the students showing respect to their instructors and fellow classmates. The students learn how to bow to their instructors and classmates as a sign of respect. Here at Ultimate MMA & Jiu Jitsu Training Center, we stress the importance of the students learning to treat others how they would like to be treated. As a student moves up in belt ranking, they are given more responsibility, and therefore, the newer students learn to follow their lead, while also showing a higher belt the ultimate respect.

    Our “Life Skills” Program

    August 23, 2019 by

Our Kid’s Martial Arts program is not just self-defense training! Here at Ultimate MMA & Jiu Jitsu Training Center, we also tie in realistic core values with our unique “Life Skills” program. We believe that the students should be exposed to, and understand, the importance of values, such as, honesty, respect, discipline, control, and focus, just to name a few. Each month, the students are given a new focus word as “homework,” to think about, apply their thoughts in a hypothetical situation, and use this to earn a new stripe on their belt for the month. Through our Life Skills program, our students learn responsibility, accountability, and the importance of persevering through life’s challenges with a positive attitude.

I specifically wanted to train Marcelo Garcia Jiu Jitsu and that's exactly what you'll get here, in both Gi and No Gi. Along with Boxing, Muay Thai, and a women's boot camp, your younger children can come to train and learn a skill that will not only offer them a safe, fun environment, but serve them the rest of their lives. This facility is large, clean and packed full of competitive champions. Not only do they get out there and do it, but they get out there and keep doing it. No one is made to feel uncomfortable at any age or skill level. They have female instructors as well as males and the women teach the younger kids. My daughter went for her trial day and she loved it. They make the kids classes fun. I've been coming close to six months now and I haven't met one person that wasn't kind or helpful. I really look forward to training here a long time, making new friends with nice people and entering Jiu Jitsu competitions. The trial class is free with no commitment. Come give it a try, it will change and improve your life for the better.

If there was one place to send your child to learn self defense, and more importantly, confidence, this would be the place. The staff not only knows what they are talking about, but they take a personal approach to every person that is part of the Ultimate MMA family. Contact them today to know that your child is getting the best guidance in the area.

Fun, friendly environment. Completely different than most would expect. The staff and students are all great mannered, friendly, fun and challenging. You won't be disappointed, also like to add how clean the gym and facilities are.

Andrew Calandrelli is not only extremely knowledgeable, he is also a talented teacher. I've been to other martial arts schools, some good, some not so much and I have never had the quality of instruction that I've had at this school. Andrew's staff is professional, friendly and have a sincere love for what they do. The facility is exactly what you would imagine a great school to be. The students range in skill level from beginner to expert, but I've noticed that if you train with someone who is much better than you are, it's likely that they'll take a moment to give you some tips to make you better. Great staff, great students, great facility. No need to go anywhere else.”
