PROF. ANDREW CALANDRELLI

Andrew Calandrelli is the owner and head instructor of Ultimate MMA & Jiu Jitsu Training Center. Andrew has been involved in Martial Arts training since the age of 4. As a teenager, Andrew competed in amateur boxing, as well as, he was an active competitor in point-fighting tournaments. As a young adult, he started training Brazilian Jiu Jitsu in 1996 in New York City.  Andrew fought as Professional Mixed Martial Arts Fighter for over 10 years and is a 4th Degree Black Belt under Marcelo Garcia with Team Alliance having received his black belt in 2007. Andrew spent years fighting as a Professional MMA Fighter, and is a Bellator Fighting Championships veteran. Throughout his career, he has earned three National grappling titles and numerous first place finishes in both NAGA and GRAPPLERS QUEST.

MARISA MESSER-BELENCHIA

Marisa Messer-Belenchia is our Head Kid’s Class Instructor and our Assistant Adult Instructor. Marisa is a current Professional MMA Fighter, a Professional Boxer, a First Degree Black Belt in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, and a NASM Certified Personal Trainer. Marisa has achieved high titles in both Jiu Jitsu and Boxing, and is an IBJJF Purple Belt No-Gi Pan American and World Champion in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. Marisa earned titles as an Open class, Western New England Golden Gloves Boxing Champion, and currently one of the top female Atomweight Professional MMA fighters in the world.

I specifically wanted to train Marcelo Garcia Jiu Jitsu and that's exactly what you'll get here, in both Gi and No Gi. Along with Boxing, Muay Thai, and a women's boot camp, your younger children can come to train and learn a skill that will not only offer them a safe, fun environment, but serve them the rest of their lives. This facility is large, clean and packed full of competitive champions. Not only do they get out there and do it, but they get out there and keep doing it. No one is made to feel uncomfortable at any age or skill level. They have female instructors as well as males and the women teach the younger kids. My daughter went for her trial day and she loved it. They make the kids classes fun. I've been coming close to six months now and I haven't met one person that wasn't kind or helpful. I really look forward to training here a long time, making new friends with nice people and entering Jiu Jitsu competitions. The trial class is free with no commitment. Come give it a try, it will change and improve your life for the better.
